We went to NYC during the Thanksgiving weekend in October 2016. I managed to secure a deal to do 1 hour long photo shoot in Central park for $200 USD. I researched some upcoming photographers in NYC (there are so many), I looked through their instagram photos and of course read reviews. I found someone I liked and emailed her with my offer.

In the end, we paid cash to the photographer on the day and she sent us about 50 edited photos (digital files only, no prints). I have displayed 40 of them here. I really love most of them, even though some are cringe-worthy (due to our lack of modelling experience). Our photographer was Logan Roquemore.

It was a beautiful autumn day in early October, we were visiting NYC with my parents. They were with relatives in Connecticut at the time we did our photo shoot. Brandon has forgotten to bring his dress shirt, so we walked around Fifth Avenue looking for a shirt. We finally found one from Zara and did a very quick walk back up to Central Park. Logan was already waiting for us on a bench and she took us all around the park.

An hour was definitely enough for us, I feel we covered enough grounds to get quite diverse backgrounds for our photos. I had two dresses for the shoot and the park's shrubs were enough coverage for me to get changed behind. The weather was very accommodating that day, with natural lighting that was just perfect. Not too sunny and just a tad bit cloudy. I didn't get any professional make up or hair done, that was not in my budget. Also, I wanted to look like my everyday self, with Logan's enhancements here and there (I specifically asked her to whiten the teeth).

Some spots were crowded, but this was to be expected. If you did the shoot in the summer, I imagine the amount of people would easily double what we had. I think we had a good deal and we had such a fun time doing it.
